    Kingston, NY—On September 11, 2024, Jordan Cutler, age 36, of Ellenville, New York, entered pleas of not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect, more commonly known as insanity, to his entire indictment charging him with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Strangulation in the First Degree before the Honorable Bryan E. Rounds in Ulster County Court.

    Kingston, NY—On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Stephen Miller, age 85, of Tucson, Arizona, was convicted of Manslaughter in the Second Degree with a five-year probation sentence before the Honorable Bryan E. Rounds.

    Kingston, NY—On August 29, 2024, Spencer Lane, age 38, of Saugerties, was convicted after jury trial in Ulster County Court before the Honorable James Farrell, visiting Judge from Sullivan County, for the felonies of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, and the misdemeanors of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, and Menacing in the Second Degree. The charges in the indictment stemmed from three separate incidents in the Town of Saugerties dating back to July of 2022.

    Kingston, NY—On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Lacy Maxwell, age 43, and Ryan Maxwell, age 43, both of Malden, pled guilty before the Honorable Bryan Rounds in connection with the fatal hit-and-run resulting in the death of 21-year-old Starllie Swonyoung, of Saugerties. Lacy Maxwell pleaded guilty to Leaving the Scene of an Incident Resulting in Death and the felony of Insurance Fraud in the Third Degree.

    Kingston, NY—On August 15, 2024, Elijah Lyons, age 27, of Kingston, pleaded guilty to Attempted Robbery in the First Degree, a class C violent felony, in Ulster County Court before the Honorable Bryan Rounds. Lyons pleaded guilty as a Second Violent Felony Offender; he is scheduled to be sentenced on November 14, 2024, to 12 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision and restitution.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 14, 2024, before the Honorable Bryan Rounds.

Pinola Pop faces up to 7 years prison as well as registration as a Sex Offender for this conviction.

      Kingston, NY—On August 14, 2024, Shaquez Nesbitt, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C violent felony, in Ulster County Court before the Honorable Bryan Rounds. Nesbitt is scheduled to be sentenced on November 13, 2024, to seven-and-a-half years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.
